Morse-Loflin

Melissa Ann Morse of Dallas and Shane Patrick Loflin of Dallas are planning an August wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Teri Morse of Portland. Her fiance is the son of Jerry and Michelle Loflin of Dallas.

Melissa is a 2002 graduate of Parkrose High School in Portland and 2008 graduate of Western Oregon University in Monmouth. She is a substitute teacher and waitress in Dallas.

Shane is a 2004 graduate of Dallas High School and 2006 graduate of California Culinary Academy. He is a chef in Dallas.

The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, at Dallas First Christian Church.

Chantelle Marie LaGoy of Monmouth and Gerardo Betancourt of Monmouth are planning an August wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Darlene Strand of Aumsville. Her fiance is the son of Julio and Lorenza Betancourt of Independence.

Chantelle, a 2001 graduate of Central High School in Independence, is a receptionist at Partnerships in Community Living in Monmouth.

Gerardo, a 2000 graduate of Central High School, is a support specialist at PCL.

The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, at Green Villa Barn in Independence.

Warren-Engstrom

Melissa Renee Warren of Bellingham, Wash., and Andrew Paul Daniel Engstrom of Seattle are planning an August wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Mark and Christa Warren of Lynden, Wash. Her fiance is the son of Tim and Diane Engstrom of Dallas.

Melissa is a 2003 graduate of Meridian High School in Bellingham and a 2009 graduate of Seattle Pacific University with degrees in global development and theater.

Andrew is a 2002 graduate of Dallas High School and a 2006 graduate of Seattle Pacific University with degrees in psychology and communications. He is enrolled in the SPU masters program, working toward becoming a licensed medical family therapist.

The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 8, in Bellingham.

Butterfield-Wightman

Rebekah Butterfield of Provo, Utah, and Parker Wightman of Sandy, Utah, are planning an August wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Stan and Connie Butterfield of Dallas. Her fiance is the son of Randy and Jolene Wightman of Sandy, Utah.

Rebekah, a 2006 graduate of Dallas High School, has plans to graduate in December from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in international relations. She is a research assistant on the abuses of women throughout the world.

Parker, a 2005 graduate of Alta High School in Sandy, is a percussion performance major at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. He is a private guitar and drum teacher, as well as a landscaper for the university.

The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 15, at the Portland Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Matz-Brunner

Stacie Matz of Keizer and Brett Brunner of Keizer are planning an August wedding.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Darrell and Shirley Matz of Tacoma, Wash. Her fiance is the son of Gregg and Janet Brunner of Dallas.

Stacie, a 2004 graduate of Wilson High School in Tacoma, is an administrative assistant at Lifelong Wealth Inc. in Tigard.

Brett, a 2003 graduate of Dallas High School, is a student in the Masters of Arts in Teaching Program at Western Oregon University in Monmouth.

Both are 2008 graduates of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.

The wedding is set for Saturday, Aug. 15, in Sumner, Wash.
