DALLAS -- Brock Britt, the man accused of manslaughter among other charges in the death of a Dallas woman in a June car accident, will stand trial in early 2011.
A trial is scheduled to begin on Jan. 11, 2011, and will likely continue for several days, said Deputy District Attorney Tim Park.
According to Oregon State Police reports, the June 6 accident occurred when Britt's Isuzu Trooper drifted across the highway center line while heading west near Rickreall Road and struck Lisa Koloen's Chevrolet Suburban nearly head-on.
Britt, 24, is facing nine charges: first-degree manslaughter, second-degree manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide, two counts of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, two counts of driving under the influence of intoxicants, and second-degree criminal mischief.
Britt remains in custody in the Polk County Jail on $125,000 bail.
