DALLAS -- The Dallas School Board approved Superintendent Christy Perry's salary for 2010-11 at a recent meeting.
Perry requested her salary amount from the previous year remain unchanged at $113,850. She will receive no cost of living increase and will take the same seven-day cut to the school year the rest of the district's employees will be taking in 2010-11.
If funding improves to the point where a full school calendar can be restored, discussion of Perry's salary amount will reopen.
The salary agreement, approved on June 21, followed a overall positive annual performance evaluation in March. She will begin a new three-year contract with the district as superintendent in July 2011.
