Dallas drug raid yields seven arrests

DALLAS -- The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (POINT), with the assistance of other state and local law enforcement agencies, arrested seven people in Dallas on drug charges Friday.

DALLAS -- The Polk Interagency Narcotics Team (POINT), with the assistance of other state and local law enforcement agencies, arrested seven people in Dallas on drug charges Friday.

The Polk County Special Response Team (SRT), Polk County Sheriff's Office, Oregon State Police and Dallas Police Department helped POINT serve search warrants at two locations in Dallas, 485 SW Mill St. and 1331 Stump St. No. 2, between 7 and 7:30 a.m. on March 11.

The sweep, called "Operation Dragon Slayer," was the conclusion of a four-month investigation into the sale of methamphetamine and marijuana in the Dallas area.

Detectives found 7.5 grams of methamphetamine and an ounce of marijuana packaged for sale, and $638 in cash at the Stump Street location. Drug use paraphernalia was found at the Mill Street location.

Detectives used controlled buys and surveillance to gather evidence in the operation.

Suspects arrested and charged in this sweep were:

* William C. Miller, 32, on three counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, three counts of delivering methamphetamine, felon in possession of a restricted weapon, unlawful selling and delivery of a firearm, unlawful delivery of marijuana, and delivery of an imitation of a controlled substance.

* Tawna D. Miller, 35, on charges of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine and frequenting a place where controlled substances are used.

* Cheyenne P. Moore, 29, on two counts of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, unlawful delivery of marijuana and delivery of an imitation of a controlled substance.

* Jeanna R. McKibben, 35, on three counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine, four counts of possession of methamphetamine, two counts of unlawful delivery of marijuana, and a commercial drug offense.

* Michelle R. Wooldridge, 26, on unlawful possession of methamphetamine and delivery of methamphetamine.

* Erik Dawson Iness, 36, on resisting arrest and interfering with a police officer.

* Michelle Shanley was arrested later Friday at 1409 SE Miller Ave. on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.

All those arrested were Dallas residents.

This case was investigated in conjunction with "Operation Frogger," in which 22 people connected to a heroin distribution ring were arrested in Polk, Marion and Clackamas counties on Tuesday, March 8.
