DALLAS -- Dallas police officers are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that took place at Tony's Place, 127 SW Court St., in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 20.

Dallas Police Lt. Rob Hatchell said a man armed with a hand gun robbed the bartender at 1:30 a.m. Thursday.

Hatchell said the robber left the bar with an undisclosed amount of cash. The bartender was working alone at the time.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office used a tracking dog to try to locate the suspect, but the search was unsuccessful, Hatchell said.

The case is under investigation and no further details were available.

Hatchell said armed robberies are an uncommon occurrence in Dallas.

"We had a small rash of bank robberies a while back, but it has been some time ago now," he said.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact Lt. Hatchell at 503-831-3581.
